Dr. Linda Ayade Donates Drugs to Cross River State Primary Healthcare Agency.

The Mediatrix Development Foundation and Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency office has been commissioned yestarday in Calabar by the First Lady of Cross River State, Her Excellency Dr. Linda Ayade. According to voplink NEWS, t

he First Lady used the opportunity to donate drugs to Primary healthcare centers across the State saying it is one of  her foundation’s many support to the revitalization of primary healthcare in Cross River State.
She acknowledged the contributions of CUSO International, FHI360, UNICEF, UNFPA and Pathfinders International for their support toward improving primary healthcare delivery in the State and lauded the State Director General of Primary healthcare Dr. Better Edu, for achieving great height in primary healthcare under one roof.
In a Goodwill message, the Speaker, Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon John Gaul Lebo said the house will continue their holistic support to the State Health Sector by ensuring there is legislative cover for all Primary Health Care activities.

 An out of court settlement application for a case involving the federal government and nine victims of the Nigerian civil war has been granted by t he ECOWAS court on Monday. Jonathan Asks For N1bn as Travel Expenses to be Metuh's Witness

Nigeria's former President Goodluck Jonathan has asked the Abuja Federal High Court to ignore the subpoena ordering him to appear in court as a witness to testify in defence of ex-PDP National Publicity Secretary Olisa Metuh. In the alternative, Jonathan sought an order directing Metuh to deposit with the court for and on his behalf the sum of N1bn to cover travelling expenses for himself and his security personnel from his home town, Otuoke, in Bayelsa State. Egypt executes 15 over Sinai attack.

Egypt has hanged 15 militants who were convicted of carrying out attacks on security forces in the Sinai Peninsula in 2013, authorities say. According to reporters, the executions were carried out yesterday  at two prisons in the north of the country, where the men were held. They were convicted of killing soldiers, carrying out assassinations, and destroying military vehicles. It was the first mass execution in the country since six jihadists were hanged in 2015. Sinai has in recent years been beset by an insurgency, with jihadist groups including so-called Islamic State (IS) attacking targets including army, police and judges. Last week, IS blew up a grounded helicopter with an anti-tank missile at a North Sinai airport, killing an army officer and wounding two others.
