Dr. Linda Ayade Donates Drugs to Cross River State Primary Healthcare Agency.

The Mediatrix Development Foundation and Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency office has been commissioned yestarday in Calabar by the First Lady of Cross River State, Her Excellency Dr. Linda Ayade. According to voplink NEWS, t

he First Lady used the opportunity to donate drugs to Primary healthcare centers across the State saying it is one of  her foundation’s many support to the revitalization of primary healthcare in Cross River State.
She acknowledged the contributions of CUSO International, FHI360, UNICEF, UNFPA and Pathfinders International for their support toward improving primary healthcare delivery in the State and lauded the State Director General of Primary healthcare Dr. Better Edu, for achieving great height in primary healthcare under one roof.
In a Goodwill message, the Speaker, Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon John Gaul Lebo said the house will continue their holistic support to the State Health Sector by ensuring there is legislative cover for all Primary Health Care activities.

President Buhari Sacks Nigeria's Spy Chief

President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked the head of the Nigeria Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ayo Oke over allegations of corruption. In a statement, presidential spokesman Femi Adesina said the president had acted on the recommendation of a government panel led by his deputy Yemi Osinbajo. Mr Adesina said: “President Buhari also approved the setting up of a three-member panel to, among other things, look into the operational, technical and administrative structure of the [NIA] and make appropriate recommendations.” However, the statement did not touch on what would happen regarding the allegations of corruption levied against the former NIA. Mr Oke was suspended in April over the discovery of large amounts of foreign and local currencies in a residential apartment in Lagos' affluent Ikoyi neighbourhood, which was traced to his agency.
